About Us
The Cecilione family began Downtown Divas in a 500 square foot space on a side street in Historic Downtown Melbourne, Florida. It was set in motion by a dream in a pregnant girl's heart, and was made a reality with a lot of hard work and help from God.
The first store opened in September 2000. With a baby on the way, we knew we needed to keep working, but didn't want to put our newborn son into daycare.
By opening Downtown Divas, we brought metropolitian styles to our hometown of Melbourne, Florida. With a boutique setting of limited sizes and styles, but without the boutique prices, our small store has grown into a statewide phenomenon. Thanks to our loyal following of Divas, we now have multiple locations throughout Florida.
